Bison Bowl - Riced Cauliflower

The Original Bison Bowl I developed when I was trying to get more calories in. This Bison Bowl I designed to get volume but reduce the calories for when you are trying to get into a calorie deficit. Still tastes great but definitely feels more clean. On a Cut (calorie deficit diet) you are going to be hungry, This will help you get more volume for less calories and help you last until your next meal.

Disclaimer: All recipes listed here work for me. If you try these and have a flair up that is on you. Make alterations as needed to avoid any issues.

Items needed:

Ground Bison

Riced Cauliflower

Peas and Carrots

Pan or Cast Iron Pan

Microwave

Food scale


How to make:

Bison: make 4oz patties - Great for Meal prepping 

When patties are made salt and pepper to liking

Optional: On top of each patty:

  Add 1 teaspoon Liquid Amino’s

  Add 1 teaspoon extra virgin oil oil

Cook to preference (Personally I go until very little to no pink)

Put 2 Patties in a large bowl and use a spoon to break them up into small bite sized pieces.

*Optional - Add some sugar free ketchup/ Mustard/ sugar free BBQ for more flavor (Account for the calories and macros) 

Riced Cauliflower: You can make your own from scratch or get the steam bags from the grocery store.

Steam pack: Follow direction on steam pack to cook , Get a bowl and scale,  After bag is cooked weight out how much you want

*Optional: Make your own: Wash raw Cauliflower then let dry or  let the frozen cauliflower thaw.

Cut into chunks and remove green bits.

Pulse blend until it looks like rice

Sauté in a pan with a 1 tsb of olive oil and place lid over

Remove lif after 5 min and check if done

If done remove from heat and let rest/  if not done replace lid and look again in 1 minute.

                  

Peas and carrots - Steam until cooked.

*Note - Get a steamtables bag from the store massive time saver

Can put in the bowl at anytime after it is cooked

Peas and carrots - ⅔ cup 50 calories

Medium Bowl  - all calories are as raw Total Calories 500

Marcos Protein  52g, Carbs 18g, Fat 22g

Bison - 8oz 400 calories

Rice Cauliflower - 172g 50 calories

Peas and carrots -2/3 cup 50 calories

Large Bowl  - all calories are as raw Total Calories 600

Marcos Protein  56g, Carbs 38g, Fat 22g

Bison - 8oz 400 calories

Rice Cauliflower - 258g (1 bag) 75 calories

Peas and carrots -1.5  cup 100 calories
