Transformation Challenge 2024 Day 4
Day 4 has been surprisingly good. After yesterday I didn't expect to feel so normal. I was still hungry most of the day but it wasn't the “i'm going to die” hunger, it was more like the “hey I could eat but if not that ok also” kind of hunger. I did not have a headache for most of the day. Overall it was a good day.
I weighed myself, like I have been everyday, so I get the metrics from my smart scale. I did a better job of getting my water in earlier in the day so I “lost” 5 lbs overnight. I was a majority of water but being in a deficit of around 1000 calories for the last 3 days I do think nearly a pound was actual mass and not just water. We will see if it stays off tomorrow as I have again done a good job of getting my water in earlier throughout the day.
On my way home I stopped at Walmart to get some bananas and walk around a little. I stopped in the health aisle like I always do and I noticed the section has been expanding. They had some Quest Protein chips and other things that were high protein. So I grabbed a bag of quest chips to try, along with quest peanut butter cups, Snickers protein bar, and protein poptarts. They all have really good macros for the calories and will be good when I'm in a pinch and starving and can't make something or a substitute for a workout shake or if I manage to keep my calories low they can be a healthy snack.
I also went to the frozen section to get some peas and carrots and I stumbled upon the Riced Cauliflower with mixed veggies. I looked at the calories and it was 75 calories for the entire 10oz bag. Crazy calorie value when you want to get as much volume as possible. My ½ cup Minute Rice and ⅔ cup of peas and carrots are 220 calories. So for Dinner I was budgeted for 660 calories and this took me down to 475. So I got almost a good amount of calories to play with. So I tried the Quest Chips and they were very good for what they are. I still prefer doritos but I will take these any time.
Tomorrow I will be taking my dad to some appointments so I will likely try out the Snickers protein bar and maybe the Protein Poptart as my meal replacement for Lunch, along with my Apple and carrots.
