Transformation Challenge 2024 Day 3

Day 3 was another rough one. I had a headache for most of the day. At first I was thinking it was due to drinking so much water at the end of the day to hit my 80 oz of just water. But I'm thinking it is due to the lower calories. I'm at least 1K calories less than I was eating before the challenge, if not more.

Right now I’m taking in around 1800 calories. I gave myself a buffer of +/- 100 because of variances in what I eat every day. I am making sure I get at least 160 Grams of protein and carbs and 40 grams of fat. I'm closer to 190 grams of protein and carbs so that is good. The hardest part is making sure I space out my meals so I don't eat too early and leave myself starving before I go to bed. That is the best way to make sure you fail. More protein and fiber and it will help to keep you full.

I did go to the gym today and it was rough. I had my workout shake and it still wasn't enough to keep me going during the workout. I burnt out really fast. Again I think given another few days of having my body get used to this lower calorie deficit I should start to have my workouts go the way I want. Workout Shake:

8oz 100% cranberry juice (Ocean Spray)

8oz water

1 scoop iso pure vanilla whey

1 serving orgain/Vital Collagen

1 scoop of hydro from Beast Pharm

1 scoop BCAA and essentials from Bowmar

Break out

~30g carbs

~44g protein

~300 Calories

Drinking this helps to feed your muscles while you are exercising and keeps you hydrated. And you don't have to have a post workout shake because you just had 44g of protein.

If you are curious, the reason why I think my headaches are due to food. It is because I was eating 3000 plus calories every day. My BMR is roughly 2000 calories so my maintenance would be about 2500-2600 calories. I wasn't tracking and just eating what I wanted. Now that I restricted myself to 1800 I'm putting myself at a minimum deficit of 1K calories so I should be on track to lose 1.5-2 lbs a week without working out, So with working out I estimate 2-3 lbs. I am estimating after 6 weeks I should be down 15-18 lbs.
