Transformation Challenge 2024 - April Day 2
Day 2 was a success. I started my day with 20 of the 50 push ups. I had a super chill day at work. My legs are still pretty jello like from my workout on Saturday, so that means I way over did it. After work I did my daily hour walk and did my Pull day. After the gym I ate dinner and did my remaining push ups for the day.
When I woke up this morning I was feeling pretty good. After I did my morning routine and while I was making my breakfast and lunch for the day I did my first 20 pushups for the day. I learned after yesterday that leaving all of them for the end of the day was just a bad idea. I am doing incline push ups due to my shoulder still being a little screwy. Honestly I get a deeper stretch and consistent reps with good effort doing them this way.
At work I like to get up every 30 minutes or so and at least stand for a little bit, most of the time I walk around a little. Those few steps add up over a day. On my days in the office along with my Daily Hour walk I am averaging 13K steps and days not in the office and only 1 hour walk around 11K-12K steps. During my lunch I like to go to either Meijer or Costco and walk around.. I usually pick up something I would normally get after work. This is a nice way to get things done at once, I get a walk and digest my lunch and I don't have to do another errand after work.
After work I went home to change for the gym. I did 10 more pushups before I left for the gym, leaving me 20 more for when I got back. I did my Hour walk at a 3 mile pace overall. I start at 2.1 mph and by minute 10 I'm up to 3 mph then by minute 15 I'm up to 3.2 for the rest of the hour. After the walk it was pull day. So I did seated rows, arm curl machine, lat pulldown, and cable curls. Overall my watch said I burned about 1600 calories. I don't know how accurate that is but I was drenched and could barely move my arms. So I think I definitely put in the work.
After the gym I made dinner. This got me to my 2200 calories for the day and should leave me around 1800 deficit. My goal everyday is to be at a min of a 1500 calories deficit and on non lifting days 1000 calorie deficit. I want to smash the 8 lbs target and so long as I have energy and am recovering I'm going to keep up this pace.
After writing this I need to finish my last 10 or 20 pushups.
