Transformation Challenge 2024 - April Day 16


Day 16 was tough. I'm pretty sure the lower amount of sleep and not eating enough has finally caught up to me. Work is going ok, and the drive is only getting worse. I think i'm going to put a pause on training and just do cardio for a few weeks. I need to get my body right and with being on prednisone for so long I think it is just too much for my body to keep going.

I woke up with my alarm today. I'm not used to waking up with my alarm anymore as I usually am up at least a few minutes before it. This is a sign that I am not getting enough rest and recovery from all my training. I think me not eating enough and being on prednisone and training 6 out of 7 days has finally caught up to me. So moving forward for a few weeks I'm going to only do cardio and really focus on my diet and hitting my calories and macros.

My drive to work is getting worse by the day. With all the construction on both my main ways to work I just don't have a solid path without construction. Work itself is going well. I have a lot of projects and deliverables I need to get done in the next week or so. So that will be fun, NOT. At lunch I went to Costco and did my walk. And the drive home was just as bad as the drive to work.

The gym wasn't a good session either. I was just doing cardio today so it should have been easy enough. But no, around 38 minutes in my left foot started to crap pretty bad. It felt like my left “ring” toes were about to dislocate themselves. So I ended it early. While writing this up I have come to the conclusion I have been going too hard for too long and I just need a rest week. So that's what I'm doing.
