Transformation Challenge 2024 Day 34
Day 34 has been interesting. I woke up feeling better than I have in a long time. This was a great feeling but also pretty frustrating. I got a call from the Rheumatoid specialist to set up an appointment. I went to dinner with my mom. Then it was the gym for my walk.
I woke up this morning and I was instantly upset. It didn't hurt at all. Most people would be elated at this realization after being in constant pain for over a month. But for me this means the steroids I took worked. Which is a good indication I have another autoimmune situation going on. It could be Rheumatoid Arthritis or one of a myriad of other diseases.
I work from home on Fridays so I took it easy and just walked around the apartment and moving all about testing my joints. My lower back , left and right shoulders are still tender but overall so much better than the previous day and weeks. I made breakfast and got to work.
During work I got a call from the Rheumatoid specialist to schedule an appointment. Luckily I am able to get in on monday. My mom and I are both surprised they are getting me in so fast. We both thought it would be at least a month. I keep lucking out on getting into appointments fast. I feel like that is the only thing good I have going on. The fact that I likely have to separate autoimmune issues going on at the age of 33 is not common. I am always an a-typical person. I just want to be normal for once in my life.
After my call I got part of my blood work back. My C-reactive protein is elevated to 2.5 times higher than normal. I am waiting on the other results that will tell us if I have key indicators for Rheumatoid. I think those take a few more days so hopefully by early next week we will know if I have it or not. If I do, great, we can make a plan. If I don't then it's going to be a lot of testing to figure out what else I have.
After work my mom called and asked if I wanted to go to dinner. I said yes because who doesn't like free food. We went to our favorite coney and I got a caesar salad with double chicken with no dressing or croutons. I know it's boring but I got a big ol’ bowl of food and it was like 250 calories. Which let me have a nice treat. I got to have my favorite, carrot cake. After dinner it was the gym for my hour walk. That sucked a little do to my popped blister on my pinky toe.
That's it for today. Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop
Come back tomorrow for Day 35.
