Transformation Challenge 2024 Day 14

Day 14 was another boring one. I went to the mall. Then the gym. I went over to my moms to help her out. Spoke to my brother and his wife about health stuff. Then the gym again.

I started the day by giving Dot his medicine. Once again he did not like it and it was a pain to give them to him. I made my typical egg/egg whites carb smart wheat bread with PG fit and a banana. I started tracking my daily vitamins and iron and all that also. I am trying to figure out why, with the kind of deficit I am in, why am I not losing faster. The Vitamins and electrolyte packs I had not been tracking, so I now know that was about 100 calories I was not tracking. Over the course of a week that is 700 calories I was not counting, and that adds up.

I had to go to the mall to return the shoes I got last weekend. I spoke with my brother and I told him I got some Vans but they were slip-on style not laces. Turns out when lifting you want laces to help keep them on your feet. During the week I did some amazon shopping and found some lifting specific shoes. They had some decent reviews and were less expensive than the Vans. So that is a win in my book.

Then I went to the gym for 20 minutes of Cardio. Once again I went with the Recumbent Bike. I am getting used to it and for the time I spend on it I am burning for more calories vs walking. While I was there my mom gave me a text and asked if I could help her.

After The Gym I went over to moms. She needed help going to home depot and getting some shelving units for her garage and basement. We went up to the Depot and walked around a little. We found the units and loaded them up. Got them back to her house and unloaded them. While I was there I grabbed some of my chicken packs from Costco since that is where my freezer is.

I then went back to my place for lunch. I was starving at this point and wanted to reach the fridge but I didn't. While I was making my lunch I was talking with my Brother and his wife trying to diagnose why my weight loss has been going so slow. With the deficit I think I should have lost around 4-5 lbs at the point but im only down 3. So we took a look at my sodium intake. It was quite high. So Along with increasing my Cardio everyday and decreasing my caloric intake I should hit 2.5 lbs a week. If I keep up this pace.

After lunch and talking with my Brother and his Wife I decided it was time to go back to the gym again. I was originally going to just do 20 more minutes on a recumbent bike. But I also did an additional 45 minutes on the treadmill. I was watching a stream and next thing I knew it was 45 minutes later. I'm not mad about it because I would have just sat on the couch anyways.

After the gym it was over to get the car washed to get all the salt off it. Then it was over to Walmart to get some more carrots, Riced Cauliflower, Car Smart bread, and Large garbage bags to empty the kitty litter box.

Overall it was a pretty good day. Glad we got down to what we think my issues are with my weight loss and new plan to get me on the path I want to be on.
