Transformation Challenge 2024 Day 12
Day 12 was rough. I got up early and got my cat Dot to the vet first thing to the walk in clinic. The weather turned from decent to horrible while we were in the clinic. Then it was back home to get some breakfast. Then off to my Crohn’s doctor for a follow up. Then it was back home for Lunch and then the Gym for Cardio.
Last night I made the decision to take Doc to the Walk in clinic up in flint so we could get him looked at. He was looking and sounding pretty rough for a couple days so I had to take him. We got there about 40 min before they opened, I like to be first. While waiting I noticed a sign next to the door about checking in online. So I went to the website and I could check in early, but it wouldn't accept people until 10 min before they opened.
We waited until the 10 min mark and got signed in. We were first in line, which was a good thing as 2 other cars showed up and both those people waited in the cold to try and get in before me. I just chuckled a little and when the doors opened I waited for them to check in and we walked straight back to a room.
It took a few minutes and the Vet came to see Dot. He checked his weight and asked some questions and did an examination. The Vet concluded that Dot either just has a respiratory infection or an Abscessed tooth. We are hoping it's just the infection. The Vet gave me an oral and eye drop to give dot 2 times a day. If he doesn't show improvement in a few days then it's the tooth. The tooth will be expensive but I gotta take care of the guy.
While we were being seen by the Vet the weather took a bad turn. It started sleeting, then freezing, then snowing. The drive home was slippery but not bad. When I got home I gave Dot the meds and made breakfast. I had my usual egg/egg white sandwich and banana. After vegging out on the couch for a couple hours I then left for the Crohn’s Doctor.
The drive to the Doctor was crazy. The roads got worse and let's just say I'm glad I left 45 minutes early. I got on the highway and almost instantly made my way to a center section where I could turn around as there was a major accident up a couple miles. I'm glad I knew my way around the area and took the back roads to the doctor.
The visit went how I expected. My bathroom issues are getting better and I’m on track to getting to a normal level of going and other stuff. We scheduled another follow up for May as that will be 2 self injections in the future. We are also going to schedule an MRI to check up on the fatty mass on my liver to make sure it hasn't grown.
When I got back from the Doctor it was lunch time. I had 1600 calories to play with for the rest of the day so I chose 3 servings of these spicy chicken tenders I got from Costco that are amazing. I also had 2 servings of carrots, an apple, and my protein pudding and jello. It was a great lunch.
I let lunch process for about an hour then it was off to the gym for my cardio. I went on the Seated bike for 20 minutes then walked on the treadmill for another 25. Overall it was a good time and I watched some streams and youtube videos.
Now it's dinner time and I still have about 970 calories. So I am having 9 oz of ground turkey and 10 oz of riced cauliflower medley, a Hoist hydration drink to try. For dessert I'm having a Halo Top for the last 360 of 400 calories to end my day
Overall it's been a decent but long day. Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop, Have a great day!
I'll have another post tomorrow for Day 13
