Transformation Challenge 2024 Day 1
Some of you may know but most likely not. Brian Shaw (4x World’s strongest man) has been putting on a transformation challenge for the past few years. He runs a contest for people in his Shaw Elite Club. Winners get anything from some gift cards to his store or all the way up to an all expense paid visit to meet him at his home and spend the day and train with him. For the challenge there are 2 aspects. First are the daily challenges and second are the weekly challenges. This Challenge will take place from February 4th until March 16th.
I am not sure what the weekly challenges will entail but the Daily are pretty straight forward. 1. Drink 80oz of water daily 2. No Alcohol. 3 10 minutes of intentional movement. 4. Write down 3 things you are grateful for. 5. Sleep 7 hours. 6 is a personal goal, mine is to write for 10 minutes. The weekly Challenge is for the contestants to create 3 tasks or Smart Goals. Mine are to eat 1800 calories +/- 100 calories, 10 minutes of stretching, and 10 minutes of writing.I'm going to use this as my logs for the challenge. This is basically to chronicle my days. What was easy, what was hard, all that.
So day 1 is almost over as I write this. I woke up a little late for me at 7am. I drank some water and did my initial weigh in on my smart scale. My starting weight is 265.5. I officially have gained back 30 lbs from my last lightest. Back in September I started my weight gain since I was on Steroids from then until November.Then I had my Surgery in early December. Only in the last few weeks did I start to feel strong enough to go back to the gym but the last few weeks I had to go back on steroids to get over the cold that has been going around. But today I went to the gym and it felt great.
I stayed in my calorie goal, drank 80 oz of water, did my stretching and intentional movements and with this I have more than done my 10 minutes of writing. So far day 1 is a success.
