Transformation Challenge 2024 Day 41
Day 41 is in the books and I can't believe this challenge is almost over. Today was very boring and much needed. I took my prednisone vitamins first thing. I got up a bit early so I chilled at my computer for a couple hours before work. After work I went to the gym a bit earlier than normal. I did my weekly challenge after that. And now I'm finishing my day writing this.
I slept well last night with the new pillows I got the other day. Now that I don't have pancakes for pillows I actually got some support and my neck is feeling better. My Left thumb was still tender but that was to be expected as I didnt start my higher dose of Prednisone until today. Since I woke up a bit early I sat at my personal computer and watched some youtube videos.
Work was ok. It was a nice and boring day. I had a couple meetings and worked on a few things. But mostly I took it easy and did not stress about getting things done as I don't have a heck of a lot to do.
After work my new AIRWAAV mouth pieces came in. I got the HIIT and Recovery pieces. They are supposed to help with increasing your output and your overnight recovery respectively. I found out about these from Mitchell Hooper, the current World's Strongest Man. He is in the health industry and has a great background in the sports medical field. He tried out the HIIT version and saw tangible results. So I got them and am trying them out.
I did the process to have the mouth pieces molded to my teeth and went to the gym. I am still not lifting but this is supposed to help with your respiration in general when exercising. I did my walk and it's still getting better for intensity. I did notice with the mouthpiece it's going to take time for me to get used to it. I’m not used to things in my mouth so it was making me gag a little every so often.
After the gym It was time to do my reflections for the week 6 challenge. I wrote them in the club website. But basically it read as follows:
This Challenge was a good one as it helped me to reflect on what I think will continue to benefit me over time and not just in the short term. There were a couple of the dailies that I won't continue. For me the daily gratitudes, I just didn't get anything meaningful out of it. The 80oz of water I did notice had me retaining extra water so I will be going down to 60 or so oz and my other hydration drinks to help replenish what I have lost. Also the No alcohol is a given forever for me, so it's not like im not doing it but I have basically always done it lol. Also the 7 hours sleep, I get basically 8-9 hours everyday, I don't function well on less than that.
